Last Chance Equipment Returns |
Final equipment returns will be Monday, December 7th at TMS from 5:30-7:00. You must return your gear on this night in order to get your equipment deposit $$ back. If you are unable to make it on that night, please make other arrangements with the equipment manager through the website at maplevalleyraiders.org Please park near the tennis courts when you come to drop off the equipment. |

Way to battle Raiders Midgets!!! Congratulations on making it to the Superbowl -- awesome game and we are so proud of all of you! So close to a win--30 to 22 Federal way. Registration for the 2010 Season usually begins towards the end of April. And the season usually starts the first week in August and runs through Mid-November. It was quite a weekend last weekend for both Football and Cheer! Cheer Championships: Congratulations to the Maple Valley Raider Cheerleaders for their stellar performance at championships Saturday. They took Second All Around and had the most amazing, fun dance, cheer and stunts! It was a great, fun, sassy and talented performance! Football Championships: Congratulations to the Midgets who defeated Sumner in the Championships! It was an amazing game! The Maple Valley Raiders Midgets will face Federal Way this Sunday in the Super bowl at 10:15! Come cheer on the Raiders! PeeWee’s battled hard against adversity but unfortunately lost to Puyallup at the end of the 4th Quarter. They had an outstanding season and we are very proud of them! Congratulations to both teams for representing the Raiders in the 2009 Championship games! Super bowl Volunteers: Raiders are hosting the Super bowl this Sunday. We need volunteers to work concessions and support the Maple Valley Midgets. Please contact your team manager, Sarah Faulk, or Laura Scofield if you are able to volunteer. |
Cheer Championships |
CJFL Cheer Championships are Saturday November 7th at Graham Kapowsin High School in Graham. Doors open at 12:45 pm for pre-paid ticket holders and ticket sales start at 1:15 pm for $1.00. Poker Tournament Update! |
We have some exciting news to share regarding this Saturday’s fundraiser. We are now offering an alternative ticket price for anyone that is not interested in playing poker but would like to have dinner and participate in the auction. Details Saturday, October 3rd, is the Raiders Texas Hold'em Tournament Fundraiser! We will be at the Lake Wilderness Golf Course in the Banquet room down stairs. In the lounge upstairs, Henry's Switch, will have a live band. Tickets are $50.00 per person if purchased before October 2nd or $60.00 at the door. You will get dinner and $1800 in chips. Re-buy of chips is $30.00. One time add-on for black chips, black chips are valued at $1000 each. Each black chip is $10.00 (example: If you want 4 black chips that is $40). Dinner and Auction is $20.00 per person. The doors open at 5:00 pm and Texas Hold'em Tournament Starts at 6:00 pm. (you can join the tournament after 6pm if you arrive late) Dinner will be served from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Auction should start around 8:00 pm, time will adjust when the poker tournament round ends. We will be having a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament and Silent on October 3rd at the Lake Wilderness Golf Course. Doors open at 5:00pm and poker starts at 6:00pm. Tickets are $50 per person which includes dinner and poker chips (if you run out of chips you will be able to re-buy). There will also be a No host bar and a silent auction. If you would like a ticket please see your Team Manager, Board Member or go to concessions during practice (Yes, you can use your Debit/Credit card at concessions). Come have a great time and a fun night out. If you know someone outside of Raiders who would be interested, please let them know how to get tickets. |

Football Team Status |
All of our teams are all full except for the Pee Wees which is for the oldest kids (12-15). Our season starts at the beginning of August and usually goes through October. Checking our web site next Spring for registration information for next year or subscribe to our email list for updates. We usually have registration at the end of April. |

Safety |
Washington state has passed the "Lystedt Law" regarding youth sports head injury. All players and parents need to read, sign and turn in the Lystadt Parent Player Signature Form which can be downloaded from here prior to being allowed to participate. Cheerleading Uniform Handouts |
Uniform handouts will be on July 14th and July 15th from 6pm to 7:30pm at Tahoma Middle School by the concession stand. Cheerleaders will also be able to order warm-ups, sweat shirts and t-shirts. The camp registration will also be on the 14th and 15th you will need to register and fill out a release form. Athletes are assigned to teams based on age and weight. Currently most teams are full with waiting lists established for 89ers, Sweet Peas, and Bantams. Football Season Information |
We are looking forward to an exciting 2009 Raiders Season! Practice begins August 3, 6:00pm -8:00pm Monday - Friday scheduled at Tahoma Middle School for the month of August. Please wear cleats, shorts and a t-shirt for the first few days of practice. We will be practicing without pads and no contact/hitting the first three days per CJFL guidelines. Equipment hand out will be either the last week of July for the first week of August -- more to follow. First game is Sunday August 30th at Tahoma High School. Bears Summer Cheer Camp |
This Cheerleading Camp is all about having fun and learning what it takes to be a Tahoma Bear!!! Come out and join the Tahoma Varsity & JV Cheer squads for 4 days of Fun, Cheerleading, and Tahoma Spirit!! At this Summer camp you will learn a routine, Cheers & Chants, and Stunting while making new friends. The cost is $50.00 per player and includes a T-shirt. Maple Valley Days Parade |
Hello Cheerleaders and Football Players, We would like to invite you to walk in the Maple Valley Days Parade with the Maple Valley Raiders on Saturday June 13th. Just wear spirit colors or if you have maple valley raiders warmups / sweatshirts / t-shirts or football jerseys will work great. Hope to see as many of you as we can! Parade starts at 10am but we need you to arrive at 9am and meet in the KFC parking lot, parking is limited. We will have coaches direct you where you will need to go from there. This camp is open to all players going into 2nd-8th grade in the 2009/2010 school year. This camp will be split into two groups for beginning and advanced levels - depending on age and skill level. Puget Sound Football Camp |
The Puget Sound Football Camp is designed to provide a unique opportunity for young athletes in the greater Kent area to learn the fundamental skills of the game. Discipline, motivation, teamwork, and sportsmanship will be stressed throughout daily activities. This camp can be a positive experience for the athlete who is playing organized football for the first time. A dedicated camp staff has been selected and is ready to provide a week of outstanding teaching and coaching. I am confident we can provide a positive experience that will benefit each participant. NCA Cheerleading Camp will be August 11th and 12th from 9 am to 5pm at Tahoma Middle School. You will need to bring a packed lunch, snacks and bottled water.
